The Good Food Show is coming to The Harrogate International Centre for the third year running and you foodie fans are in for quite a treat!
Famous for Betty’s Tea Room, Victorian Turkish Baths and Antique Quarter, this beautiful spa town will host an electrifying show of tantalising foodiness. Passionate regional and artisan producers will be in full swing alongside well-known brands inviting you to ‘taste and try’ their tempting products. The latest ‘must have’ kitchen gadgets will be on show and there will be an opportunity to observe some of the nation’s most famous chefs at their craft.
The Supertheatre situated in the stunning Royal Hall will be awash with culinary talent. For me it doesn’t get much better than Michelin starred chefs Michel Roux Jr and Tom Kerridge, effortlessly demonstrating mouth watering dishes which of course we will all be able to reproduce at home!
Alongside them will be Paul Hollywood, best known as a judge on BBC’s Great British Bake Off (I doubt there will be a soggy bottom in sight) and the lovable Hairy Bikers aka Si King and Dave Myers who cook good food with infectious enthusiasm. You will also get the chance to have your ‘culinary queries’ answered by the chefs on the Interview Stage. In addition, an opportunity to buy cook books at great Show prices and have them signed by the chefs themselves. (They make the best gifts for self or others!)
You will find the Harrogate Good Food Show relatively compact and easy to get around. There are dedicated shopping areas which include;-
The Producer’s Village - a speciality food market, full of small producers who ‘pride themselves on the quality and provenance of their produce’. Indulge in the Bakes & Cakes Village - you can buy everything you need to bake like a master! Deliciouslyorkshire Market - on hand to celebrate a superb range of Yorkshire food and drink .The exhibitors will include Mercer’s of Yorkshire (conserves, curds, chutneys and mayonnaise) and Mason’s Yorkshire Gin! Visit the BBC Good Food Champions - discover the some of the most outstanding artisan producers in the area. You will have the opportunity to learn more about their products as well as sampling and buying them.In addition, discover the finest artisan food and drink producersin the UK and Ireland sought out by the BBC Good Food Shows team at The Producer’s Bursary Awards.
Hope to see you there!
(Watch out for my next blog where I will be cooking with Mercer’s Of Yorkshire Lime Curd and Red Onion Marmalade!)
